Management Assessment
Some of the toughest decisions made within an organisation involve the recruitment, promotion, development and counselling of senior personnel. Too often these decisions are made with a degree of uncertainty and a great deal of hope. The cost of error is too great for both the individual and the organisation to take chances based on track record or interviews alone.
Past performance is not in itself always a good measure of future managerial performance. Furthermore, there is frequently little or no assessment of the individual’s personal styles and personalities to ensure they are compatible with the needs of the organisation.
At Marlborough we conduct a formal, structured and transparent process to probe career objectives, assess leadership qualities and identify future development needs that answer some of the key questions our clients need to know including:
- How driven is the candidate? Will they stretch themselves for achievement?
- Is there a cultural fit? How will they relate to superiors, peers and subordinates?
- How much pressure can they work under and what impact does it have on their performance.
